Well, in this scenario, was he made a reasonable offer to come back to Boston but declined in order to get slightly more money from New York? Meanwhile, had he declared himself the face of the team, developed a beloved personal grooming style, and written an incredibly lame book about winning the World Series and THEN signed with the Yankees who made him drop his personal style to conform to their Naziesque appearance code? Yes, then I might boo him. Otherwise, I'd be too busy booing A-Rod, who would presumably be Boston's new third baseman.
I can't decide which is worse...losing Lowell or gaining A-Rod.
If losing Lowell means that the Sox get stuck with the Rod...that's pretty boo-worthy.
